SoundSculpt is now preserved as a Three.js web adaptation, bringing a similar interplay of sound, touch, and form to desktop and mobile browsers. Play music, use your voice, or explore the sculpture through touch.
SoundSculpt began as an audio AR instrument with Bose Frames. The first prototypes connected head movement, touch, and a virtual bubble, turning physical gestures into music and form.
Bose Frames tracked head rotation. Looking up or down changed pitch; turning left or right changed volume and stereo balance.
Early Unity prototypes paired the glasses with mouse input to push and deform a virtual bubble. The resulting sound and projected visuals made each gesture perceptible.
